A native of Newport News, Virginia, Walt Hubbard attended North Texas State University and graduated from the University of Miami, where he performed with their award- winning Hard Bop Ensemble. He has also studied privately with the great Roy Haynes. Walt has toured Europe and worked as a sideman with Freddie Hubbard, Art Farmer, Joe Diorio, Nat Adderley, Ira  Sullivan, and Richie Cole.
